Cranstons Case Study

Context

Established in 1914, the Cranstons name has become well-known and loved throughout the Northwest of England. Renowned as an honest butchers’, supplying top-quality butchery and delicatessen goods both in their own shops and wholesale, Cranstons are continuing to flourish in the industry and have a range of fantastic awards to attest to their popularity.

Objective

With great company success comes a need for more advanced software and hardware, so Cranstons knew they required the installation of a reliable sales order and production system in order to keep track of their stock from start to finish. Cranstons’ requirements were complex as they produce hundreds of bespoke products in-house from a vast array of bought-in ingredients, including whole animals expertly bred and reared on local farms. Following a good, long-standing relationship with Logic, we were their go-to choice for this project.

Deployment

The software chosen to support Cranstons’ ever-growing company is SI’s Integreater software. Cranstons’ renowned ‘made in house’ product range features artisan pies, award-winning sausages, dry cured bacon and dry aged beef, fresh salads and ready for the oven meals; this chosen software is used to track the food product directly from arrival to the company, to the shop counter, and the stages in-between.

Following the initial install, Logic’s IT Support Technician, Thomas Finch, was on site at Cranston’s from 6am on ‘Go Live’ day to assist the system launch. He then stayed throughout the course of the morning to ensure the system was fully functional so there would be no loss to business. Cranstons praised Tom’s eagerness to assist, saying “he worked through anything that was asked of him with great enthusiasm and a smile, despite his very early start”.

Result

SI’s Integreater software is running as planned and Cranstons are continuing to provide both product excellence and fabulous service, with the added security of a reliable sales order and production system.
